NYTF Yiddish Fiddler On The Roof - Opening Night Gala || New York Gala Event Photographer

Shot the Opening Night VIP Gala for The National Yiddish Theater Folksbiene at the Museum of Jewish Heritage for the opening of one of their digest productions to date, Fiddler on the roof in Yiddish. The Room was packed with benefactors, Politicians and some of New York City's  biggest influencers. I wanted to capture this event naturally photojournalistic, so I used my 70-200mm for most of the event concentration on the people them selves from a distance, I find it the best way to photograph people’s true selves. I do a lot of photography for the compony for their many events Including performances.

If you have not seen the show, please consider it, it’s really was quite special.

Jenielle & Tim Rainy Session || Lower East Side Engagement Photographer || Brooklyn Bridge Park couples Session

During my initial pre shoot consultation with Jenielle & Tim she made it very clear that the session had to start at Copper and Oak whiskey bar in Lower east side. They had their first date there and find the place gorgeous and charming. I tried to steer her away thinking that a whiskey bar might not be the ideal location for a engagement photoshoot, Until I got there. The place is approximately 250 square feet But uses all of its space adequately. The lighting, rich decor and old style class made this one of my top 10 sessions and made the rest of the shoot flow which was not easy since the weather was less then predictable. From dry mid 90 degree heat, to a sunless torrential downpour, so sunny post rain humidity. But there are advantages to shooting post storm, the sky is amazing, the streets are glistening and nothing beats an image of a couple sharing an umbrella. The shoot was in Lower east side and Brooklyn Bridge park.

Amazing Sunrise Engagement session || Brooklyn Engagement Photographer

kristin & Ryan were visiting New York City from Florida and last minute decided they wanted an engagement session to document their trip to NY. They knew they wanted the shoot to be in Dumbo and Brooklyn Bridge Park area. The problem was they had a full itinerary and had no time for a sunset session asked if a sunrise shoot was possible. I was delighted as I rarely have sunrise photo sessions but am an early riser and love to be out at that time of day, its a way to see the city in a different way especially Sunday mornings the streets usually crowded with people are almost empty. We started at 5:45am and meet up by Brooklyn Ice cream factory, and made our way to all my favorite places of the area. The session turned out amazing. Below are some selects from the session.

Krupa Baby Shower in Mint Restaurant - || Long Island Event Photographer

I was reached out by Krupa because I had shot her close friends wedding in 2016 and they loved the pictures. Krupa let me know the mens and women's baby shower would be held at mint restaurant by Roosevelt Field, in Garden City, Long Island. The event was really intimate we took mostly Family and friends classic portraits. But I got to shoot some documentary shots as well capturing some lovely moments of the traditional south asian, religious and cultural ceremony, some fun games and a lot of joy of the expecting couple, ecstatic parents, grandparents and siblings of the couple as well as some fun loving friends. Before the event ended we went outside to get some shots of the couple in natural light. Found a shaded spot as it was a blistering hot July day to get some intimate images of the couple.

Anyur & Baset Wedding || Central Park Wedding Photographer || Baku Restaurant

What an amazing wonderful happy couple they were. The Day started at the couples suites at the Park Lane Hotel. With wonderful city scapes and some areas with views of central park. The couple had a first look at the back Lobby by the spiral staircase. We then proceeded to make our way to central park for portraits. We usually have a great route starting at 59th street entrance and making our way to Loeb boat house hitting all of my favorite parts of that park.

After the session we made our way to the venue, Baku Palace in Brooklyn sheepshead bay area, a wonderful place with manhattan beach close by and Ship dock right across the street from the venue. The Groom was from Egypt but is a professor of engineering and lives in the states. The bride was from Azerbaijan, but relocated to the US to be with her husband. The couple had a small intimate wedding of about 60 people, with most family that lives in NY. But had guest fly in from Azerbaijan, Egypt and Japan to celebrate the charming couple.
